**Salary & Benefits**:
£29,500 to £32,500 Depending on experience.

**Role Summary**:
The role of team leader is to support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the complex care provision, including deputising for the deputy manager as and when required. The key responsibilities will be to assist the Registered Manager in the management and development of the home and support staff to drive the delivery of an excellent quality service for the children in our care at helping care

As team leader within the home you must ensure a consistently high standard of care in accordance with legislation, central government guidance, regulations and standards, and the policies and procedures of the company.

At all times the team leader’s behaviour, performance and conduct must promote a positive image of helping care that reflects the company’s vision, mission and purpose.

You will be accountable to the Registered Manager and deputy manager; our job descriptions are all written with the following key points. To achieve excellence in everything we do. Helping care “primary purpose” is to make a positive contribution to the lives of children in our care settings.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be required to carry out a range of duties within your role. The key responsibilities are detailed below but there will be other duties consistent with the role that you may be requested to undertake by your line manager. You will safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in the home by being familiar with and aware of the children’s home’s safeguarding policy, procedures and guidelines and to always adhere to them.

Lead, exemplify and evaluate excellent practice. To ensure a high standard of practice within your staff teams.

Monitor and revise children’s care and placement plans ensuring the identified needs of the children are being met and be accountable for the overall quality of these documents. To bring to the attention of a deputy manager or registered manager any matter for concern over the well-being, safety or safeguarding of a child we support.

**Our Staff**:
To ensure all new staff are managed and supported using the guidance and documentation in their probation induction and objectives.

To ensure that all staff have personal development plans that identify and address areas of training needs and support their continued professional development. To ensure that all staff undertake all required and mandatory training and that they also have opportunities for further CPD as agreed through appraisal or supervision sessions.

To model excellent support and to use and embed all relevant plans for the children placed within our services

To always maintain professional boundaries with all children, staff, visitors and families. To act promptly, fairly and clearly on any issue involving poor practice from a staff member, ensuring this is clearly documented, with agreed actions. You will review and as necessary consult with HR.
- **Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a residential support worker within a registered children’s home setting
- Level 3/4 children and young people workforce diploma
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with children, professionals and families
- Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to ensure compliance
- Prior experience in supervising staff members in a children’s home setting

**Principle Responsibilities**
- To ensure Support Workers deliver all their duties as per their job description
- To ensure best practice in all service delivery across all areas of responsibility
- Responsible for reporting of all incidents, concerns and malpractice to relevant authorities
