**About the role**:
To support the processing of jewellery stock for auction, monitoring changing sales trends and adjusting lots accordingly. Whilst fulfilling their duties the Jewellery Auction Co-ordinator should utilise their initiative to develop their knowledge and continuously build their skill level.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Is responsible for the preparation of stock for specific auction platforms ensuring correct levels are dispatched in a timely manner.
- Ensures auction procedure is correctly followed in terms of listing, photography, delivery notes and updating marketplace for assigned auction platforms.
- Monitors changing sales trends across auction house selling platforms.
- Contributes to successful high end auction stock breakdown and lotting, with consideration for trends within assigned auction houses.
- Attends monthly auction meetings and provides relevant information and feedback to the wider jewellery team.
- Works alongside all members of the Jewellery Department to meet and exceed KPI targets.

**Key Skills & Experience**:

- Experience working with antiques and high end costume & silver jewellery.
- Experience working in auction houses with vintage & antique stock
- Identifies the majority of gold and silver by eye.
- Identifies hallmarks and maker’s marks with the ability to interpret them.
- Uses knowledge to identify brands by style.
- Identifies the age of items by materials, clasps, or findings and categorise them into specific eras.
- Good computer literacy skills.
