We pride ourselves on the supportive and creative environment we have within the studio, where our focus is always "Making Games With Heart and Soul." **ROLE PURPOSE** As the new Senior/Lead Environment Artist within Soul Assembly, you will at the heart of bringing the characters to life on our newest project within a close and talented studio team with a proven track record of success. This is a role, where you will be able to bring your flair, creativity and talent to the project and collaboratively deliver; engaging and immersive environments and scenes for our players to enjoy exploring in the Virtual World. We are looking for someone who is a creative problem solver, an excellent communicator, and who always shows high levels of enthusiasm and talent for creating great artwork within an agreed art style. You will ensure your created environments are optimised for use in our game engines, being particularly mindful of performance and memory constraints. We will offer you to be an active member of the experienced and highly skilled art team, contributing ideas in a collaborative and inclusive environment that will help everyone build another great game from the studio. Also there is the opportunity for occasional concept artwork generation during pre-production phases. **REQUIRED SKILLS**: - A strong portfolio that demonstrates excellent 3D and 2D skills, with particular focus on environment work. - Proven drawing and layout skills that illustrate your ability to convey ideas and concepts to stakeholders. - Up to date and comprehensive knowledge of Autodesk Maya (or other relevant 3D content creation packages) and Photoshop. - Familiarity with the opportunities and challenges of the current games market, including XR technologies. DESIRABLE SKILLS: - Experience of game development in Unity. - Ability with sculpting packages such as ZBrush or Mudbox. - Knowledge of texture/material creation pipelines such as Substance or NDo/DDo. - Active player of Mobile/Console/VR games. **WHY APPLY TO SOUL ASSEMBLY?** Joining the team now will give you the chance to be a part of a successful and growing team, that is going from strength to strength.
