My client is the leading provider of environmentally friendly and efficient electro-mechanical solutions across a range of leading domestic and commercial brands. With over 130 years of experience, my client prides themselves on their values and strive for earning lifetime loyalty with customers.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the SHE team for an Environmental Advisor, reporting directly to the head of SHEQ, with a dotted line into the HSE Manager.
Role responsibilities:
- Provide support to the HSE team in the delivery of sound advice in relation to, Environmental management.
- Ensure that the requirements of ISO14001 are effectively championed and implemented throughout the business ensuring operational accountability.
- Design, develop, implement, and manage all Environmental policies, processes, and procedures.
- Promote the environmental agenda internally and externally, ensuring agreed times scales are met.
- Co-ordinating all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, renewable energy, and complaints.
- Advise on how to continually improve environmental performance using innovative solutions.
- Work with key stakeholders to reduce and eventually eliminate waste from operations.
- Dealing directly with environmental agencies to obtain and manage permits always ensuring compliance as well as annually facilitating the Environmental legal compliance and impact assessment.
- Managing the on-site Environmental systems, policies and procedures, and internal and external audit schedule, producing reports based on the results.
- Training for staff at all levels in environmental issues and responsibilities.
- Manage the companies legal reporting obligation for environmental matter i.e., waste management.
- Environmental Qualification or extensive exposure to working in an environmental management/advisor position.
- Experience working practically with environmental compliance in one of the following sectors: Manufacturing, Waste Management, Engineering, Logistics, Facilities Management, Construction.
- Passionate about environmental management.
- Willing to develop skills and take on further responsibility within Health and Safety.
- Use of your own vehicle is essential.
