**Account Manager (Financial Institutions Sales)**

We are currently looking for an Account Manager (Financial Institutions Sales) to join our busy team

Our Account Manager will work with existing client/s accounts (in an account management role) and with 'new name' client/s (in a business development role) to manage all sales activity in your allocated areas.

This role is responsible for a portfolio of clients currently worth around £2 million. Developing new business opportunities and relationships with customers.

This role will develop, manage, and lead complex sales proposals - involving colleagues from all aspects of the GGS business as required.

**Location**: Remote with office visits to the North-West (Knutsford), and regular travel to customers.

**Account Manager (Financial Institutions Sales) Duties**:

- To assist with the overall engagement and relationship with the customers or new name customers and maximise profitability of the account/s.
- To accurately forecast sales, revenue, and margin from the customers.
- To create, agree and implement the sales approach, account/s plans and objectives for assigned customers. To support the creation and implementation of the sales strategy for the customers.
- To lead sales activities within customers, including the overall solution design, commercial arrangements, sales collateral creation, demonstration of Glory's capability, customer engagement, negotiation and 'close.'
- To provide commercial acumen for all contract negotiations and ensure that contracts are in place for sales, loan, and ongoing services (hardware and software support).
- To develop and maintain the relationships within the customer (including the management and procurement teams) to maximise sales opportunities and 'budget share' and to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and position Glory's as a key long-termbusiness partner.
- To champion the customers inside Glory; to act as a 'catalyst' for customer's sales requirements and overall business and market demand
- To intimately understand the customer's business priorities, operational pressures and IT capabilities and actively support the client/s with business case design and benefit calculations to position Talaris as the 'supplier of choice' and proactively developa pipeline of sales opportunities
- To ensure routine use of bid review/approval processes, sales reporting, and pipeline management/CRM tools
- To act as an escalation, point for issues on the customer's projects and service delivery and assist with the resolution of issues
- To actively seek out market and competitor intelligence to position Glory consistently as the 'supplier of choice'
- To oversee and manage the client/s debt position ensuring no overdue payments are accumulated
- Monitor performance, constantly challenging and improving existing processes to maximise customer satisfaction.
- Responsibility for the development and maintenance of an account development plan for each major account and new business opportunity.

**Account Manager (Financial Institutions Sales) Requirements**:

- Degree educated with a business qualification
- Five years experience in a related sales environment
- Clean driving licence
- A professional and consultative/solution sales background with proven ability to win high value contracts
- Proven track record of business-to-business consultative solution sales within the Retail or Commercial sectors where service levels are a key driver.
- Able to develop an in-depth understanding of a customer's business, aims, and objectives.
- Good commercial and financial skills, able to develop and present a clear statement of return on investment for customers
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and the ability to effectively use a number of different influencing and negotiation strategies.
- The ability to work within a competitive, challenging and changing environment
- Effective and confident in different and challenging environments (cultural and commercial)
- Ability to identify opportunities and generate new sales and develop business relationships
- Knowledge of the UK retail/financial services sector is a distinct advantage
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- Driven and focused problem solver.
- Ability to develop and maintain relevant product knowledge.
