Maternity Support Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Maternity support worker with a passion to provide high quality family focused maternity care to our women and families of East Cheshire.
Under the supervision and in direct supervision of the registered midwives you will assist in the delivery of care through the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods. You will assist women with their personal care needs and support families to care for their babies.
We will be considering full and part time hours with permanent and fixed term contracts.
Caring for women and their babies undertaking a range of clinical and supportive duties such as taking and recording observations, breastfeeding support and scrubbing in theatre for elective caesarean sections.
Depending on your experience, on the job and inhouse training will be required to ensure knowledge and skills are in line with regional and national frameworks.
