This is a 3- year apprenticeship in Partnership with Bolton University.

Throughout the 3- year apprenticeship, non
- clinical learning will be facilitated from Bolton University via remote learning. Non
- clinical learning will be 1 day per week. The remaining 28.5 hours per week will be spent on placement at Dorset County Hospital.

**Entry requirements**:

- 5 GSCE’s at grades A-C or 4-9, to include Mathematics, English and a Physical Science
- 112 UCAS points, which should include one physical science
- Evidence of recent study
- Ability to meet the occupational health requirements of the programme
- IELTS score 7.0 (International English Language Testing System)
- Equivalency using Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or alternative entry qualifications.

Applicants meeting the above criteria, and selected for interview will need to demonstrate:

- Knowledge of the Operating Department Practitioner profession
- Knowledge of patient care delivery in the perioperative setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Healthcare organisational values and behaviours
- Healthcare organisational constitution
- Satisfactory clearance from the Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service

**Funding**:
Course fees will be funded via the Apprenticeship Levy and the Trust will continue to pay you the salary as a Band 3 whilst undertaking the programme.
