An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a dedicated, passionate, and experienced band 6 mental health practitioner to join our developing core mental health team, working with children and young people across Shropshire/Telford and Wrekin.

This role involves managing a defined caseload with a focus on working with children and young people and their families who experience a complex range of needs and mental health difficulties.

The successful applicants will join our existing Multi-Disciplinary team of professionals, headed by the Operational Lead and Clinical Lead. You will have the opportunity to work alongside an extensive range of individuals with varying professional backgrounds. This includes psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, family and systemic practitioners. The BeeU service is a partnership between Midland Partnership Foundation Trust, The Children’s Society, Kooth and Healios working together in the interests of children and young people in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

There will be scope for creativity in this team, to develop evidence based interventions, to think systemically and work collaboratively with children, young people and families, informed by the local Transformation Plan, Future in Mind and the THRIVE framework. It really is time to think differently and creatively about how we can help more children and young people with their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
- Assessing and providing therapeutic interventions for young people who require intervention and support from a secondary mental health service.
- oversight and delivery of the provision of planned recovery focused care working in partnership with young people, carers and other professionals.
- working collaboratively with other services to provide seamless and holistic care for young people, this may include, social care, schools or our other partnership agencies.
- management of a caseload, which includes, assessment, care-planning in conjunction with service user and carer and utilising service specific outcome measures to guide and evaluate effectiveness of individual treatment plans

This post is based within the Core CAMHS team in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. We are comprised of a number of different professionals who are all fully committed to achieve the best outcomes for children, young people and their families.

**As a bee u core mental health practitioner you will**:
Take responsibility for the management of a complex caseload, which includes, specialist assessment (within service specification), and care planning in conjunction with service user and carer, evaluation of individual treatment plans for CYP with mental health needs.

Responsible for participating in the setting of quality standards, including the auditing, monitoring and reviewing of practice in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.

Assess patient's individual care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.

Deliver a range of interventions in accordance with the agreed plan of care and Pathway guidance.

Complete and contribute, where appropriate to robust risk assessments and risk management plans. Deliver and promote positive risk taking, where appropriate, to improve quality of life and maximise occupational performance/independence.

Maintain an effective reporting system by observing and reporting verbally and in writing on patient condition

To encourage and support service user and carer involvement and participation.

Attend and contribute to CAMHS Multi-disciplinary team

Utilise agreed outcome measures to review the effectiveness of interventions, as part of the care planning and evaluation process. Assist in ensuring that the aims and objectives of the service are fulfilled and to identify factors which may inhibit these from being achieved.

The post holder will be required to work within their Code of Practice and professional guidelines.

Maintain an up-to-date level of professional competence within the specific environment.

To display effective networking skills, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with multi-professionals
