Sir Thomas Wharton Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Support and Family Liaison Officer to work with our experienced and highly motivated team of professionals to provide support to unlock barriers to learning and enable young people to achieve their full potential. - Be fully committed to the academy’s vision and values.
- **Build trusted relationships**with students and families to identify and overcome barriers to school attendance.
- **Coordinate support**with external agencies and the school’s leadership and attendance teams.
- L**ead early intervention efforts** in local primary schools to remove barriers and ease transition to STWA.
- **Deliver engaging family-focused support**, including parenting workshops and outreach visits.
- **Act as a mentor and advocate**, helping students stay engaged, achieve their potential, and feel supported.
- Inspire, engage, and build positive relationships with both students and staff.
- Exhibit a growth mindset, excellent work ethic, and a sense of humour.
- Bring relevant knowledge and an understanding of our local and educational context.
