About UsThe Adults' Services Systems and Information Team (ASSIT) drives continual business improvement by sustaining and maintaining all systems through advice, support, and challenge to ensure good business practice. The Information Team manages the provision of a wide range of high quality information and advice, whilst meeting the County Council's statutory duties as outlined in the Care Act 2014 and other legislation, for example, the Data ProtectionAct 2018, the Accessible Information Standard and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.About The JobInterview Date: 29th JulyClosing Date: 22nd JulyThis varied role supports Adults' Services to continuously improve processes and data quality with IT systemsand websites.This post holder will play a key role in the delivery of high quality advice and information in a variety of formats. This will include collecting, processing, and analysing a range of complex data in order to support the Local Authority's statutory,strategic and operational responsibilities. This information provided will enable performance to be effectively measured and monitored which will inform planning decisions.Performing this role's duties, you must have an excellent knowledge of the workflowand systems used by WSCC Adults' Services and must be comfortable working for extended periods of time with considerable amounts of data and complex formulas, in order to analyse, evaluate and cross check data anomalies. Prioritising and initiative is vitalin completing this role to a high standard as you will be responsible for specific areas of data collection and therefore you must be able to consider and recommend solutions ensuring deadlines and data quality standards are met.Experience and SkillsKey Skills:Excellent analytical skills with the ability to research and analyse data from a variety of sources and produce qualitative information with mínimal guidance.Highly computer literate with sound and accurate IT skills in order to manipulate complex data andproduce reports using a variety of software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present analysis and findings clearly, concisely and accurately to a range of audiences in ways that promote understanding.Advisory, negotiationand persuasion skills in order to encourage others to adopt a particular course of action.Sound problem solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and diagnose business solutions, making logical and rational decisions based on all informationavailable.Ability to organise, prioritise and plan own workload to meet deadlines and targets.
