We are looking for a Catering Assistant with great customer service skills and experience in the preparation of food and food display, to join our team on the Yarm Road Business Park in Darlington DL1 4XT.

Basic Hours 30 HPW + overtime

Monday to Friday

Hours 8.30am-2.30pm (plus flexibility to cover holiday/sickness 4pm-7pm)

No weekend, bank holiday or Christmas work.

Immediate start.

Pay rate: £9.50 per hour

Duties include:

- Reporting to and supporting in the delivery of a breakfast, lunch, trolley and vending service at our client's manufacturing site
- Basic food production and packaging
- Serving customers
- Cash handling and till operating
- General kitchen cleaning tasks
- Maintaining, filling and cleaning hot beverage, cold drinks and snack vending machines
- Implementing all legislative H&S and food safety protocols and documentation
- Delivering consistently high standards in all areas of work
- Adhering to policies & procedures, including the completion of attendance records & timesheets, following absence reporting procedures etc.

This is a hands-on role, with reliability, punctuality and a strong team player being essential for the role. Must be friendly, flexible, available for overtime, prepared to attend site at short notice and have means of transport to site. Previous catering experience is preferable but full training will be provided.
