We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a special school in Newham. This role will involve providing support to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in both primary and secondary education levels.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs in the classroom.
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the individual needs of each student.
- Monitoring and managing behaviour in the classroom.
- Supporting students with their emotional and mental wellbeing.
- Helping to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Management Plans (BMPs) for students.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Comfortable working with students who have challenging behaviour.
- Good understanding of behaviour management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other members of the support team.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be an advantage.
