As part of an established and effective team, this role is within Birkbeck’s Marketing and External Relations Department, and has the responsibility for promoting and recruiting students to our unique degree courses, which are taught in the evening.
At the core of this role, is the planning and delivery of marketing and communications tactics to specifically support our academic schools in delivering on our student recruitment targets.
You will already have a track record of working with prospective university students and know the best tactics to use to engage with audiences in an integrated and effective way. Specifically, you will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of current marketing principles and an awareness of trends and developments.
The ability to cultivate good relationships is essential to the role. You will know what it takes to build networks - internally and externally - and understand the value of maintaining them. This will be demonstrated through the impact of your work and as you help to develop the profile of the Marketing and Recruitment team at Birkbeck and with our partners and other stakeholders across London, and beyond.
**Remuneration**:
Grade 5 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £31,096 rising to £35,374 per annum.
The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
