Role: Registered Nurse (RMN, RNLD)

The team are responsible for the safe transportation, care, support and management of service users/patients diagnosed with mental health conditions when transporting them from one destination to another and who may display challenging behaviour. For the right individuals we will provide you with a comprehensive Induction Programme where full training will be provided.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Oversee the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual patient programs of care with a focus on risk assessment / management strategies, ensuring that the requirements of the Care Program Approach are met in a timely manner
Work closely with Mental Health Transport Assistants to safely transport and care for patients
Monitor any ill health indicators of patients during transportation
Report patient observations to NHS Partners
Support empowerment of patients, having regard for their dignity rights whilst maintaining professional responsibility for individuals in our care
Review and ensure correct section papers are in place for patients in our care
Experience & Skills:
Both newly Qualified or Experienced RMN/RNLD
Experience working with a Mental Health client group
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
Have the capacity to maintain documentation and undertake audits
Compassionate and focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage and reduce risk whilst empowering and supportive of service user independence
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
Key Requirements:
Valid NMC registration
Maintain Enhanced DBS (paid for by company)
Act within the Professional Bodies Code of Practice
Excellent communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Able to work as part of a team
Attention to detail

£25 per hour for days Monday-Friday and £30 per hour for nights and weekends

PMVA training in line with the RRN Training standards
Full preceptorship programme
Clinical Supervision
PMVA ½ day training
SCIPs tests and 121 support by member of the management team
Awareness of the Medicines Policy
Driving Assessment - (Optional)
2 x Shadow shifts
Contract: GH20 (guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week)
Shift pattern:
4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern, alternating between days and nights
Day shift (6:30am-7:30pm)
Night shift (7pm-7am)
