Trainee Reactive Drainage Engineer - Full Training Provided

Location: Hazel Grove, Stockport

Starting Salary: Minimum Wage (with potential to earn £14 - £16 per hour)

Working Hours: 07:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)

Overtime: Paid at time and a half for all hours beyond 45 per week

Full UK Driving Licence Required

We are looking for a Trainee Reactive Drainage Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain skills and experience in the drainage industry. You will be based at our Hazel Grove, Stockport depot each day and work alongside an experienced team of drainage operatives. With full training provided, you’ll develop the knowledge and expertise needed to eventually operate a vehicle which will be assigned to you and take on full responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting an experienced drainage engineer in unblocking drains using high-pressure water jetting

Supporting in CCTV drainage surveys to diagnose issues in drainage systems

Investigating drainage systems and problem-solving on a daily basis

Learning how to use industry-leading drainage equipment and technology

Gaining hands-on experience with real-world drainage problems

Ensuring work is carried out safely and to high standards

What We’re Looking For:
A full UK driving licence (essential)

A genuine desire to learn and build a career in drainage

A flexible approach to working hours (reactive work can be unpredictable)

A positive, hands-on attitude with a strong problem-solving mindset

The ability to work well as part of a team and take instructions from senior engineers
