**Associate Internal Auditor** - Schools' Choice, part of the Vertas Group

**Zero hours - flexible hours to suit**

**£25,000 per annum FTE**

**Ipswich, Suffolk**

Main Purpose of the Job:
To assist in the Internal Audit Service delivery:
Visit Academies and undertake transactional testing as per the Schools’ Choice toolkit

Liaise with the Business and Finance Manager to ensure any specific areas are addressed

To identify areas requiring improvement to the Business and Finance Manager

To provide feedback to members of the Senior Leadership Team and / or Trustees in the academies

To assist in the production of the Internal Audit Report after each visit

To provide guidance and best practice advice where relevant to various stakeholders

Signpost Academy Staff to further advice and support where necessary

Participate in training and briefings

Keep up to date with current educational developments and audit requirements affecting Internal Scrutiny across all Academies

You will be supported by a central administration team and be provided with regular training, briefings and updates.

**It is essential you are able to drive, the role will involve travelling to schools.**

**Experience**:

- Experience of working in an educational environment would be desirable.

Key Skills:
Ideally AAT qualified or working towards a similar qualification

Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.

Accurate keyboard skills for use in producing a range of documents.

Knows how to maintain accurate records.

Demonstrates an understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements in the workplace.

Ability to provide accurate advice and guidance

Professional and polite when dealing with colleagues and customers
