Established in 1977, Lowbury Construction is a growing Construction business and we are looking out for an experienced **Quantity Surveyor**. We are a multidisciplined business working across several construct aspects including:

- Civil Engineering
- Refurbishments

**Key Tasks**:

- To co-operate with, report to and implement the reasonable directives of the Director/Manager.
- To ensure the timely submission of all relevant data required to monitor and analyse performance.
- To ensure timely submission of cash flow forecasts for projects and providing monthly updates.
- To liaise with contracts management day-to-day.
- To ensure the full and proper implementation of the Commercial Procedures where delegated authority so requires.
- To prepare accurate sub-contracts to the level of responsibility dictated by the company’s Commercial Procedures.
- To ensure that the timely submission of detailed claims and final accounts is achieved.
- Liaison with contracts management and buying to ensure timely procurement of relevant materials
- Involvement in dispute avoidance/resolution.

**Key Skills / Experience**:

- At least 10 years’ experience in a QS role.
- Sound understanding of construction industry and the parties to it.
- Proficient knowledge of measurement and valuation.
- Good knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract.
- Proficient in reading drawings, specifications and knowledge of construction process.
- Ability to draft subcontracts and design appointments.
- Knowledge of CIS.
- Awareness of dispute procedures.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages e.g. Excel & Word and project cost management software
