Estimator / Trainee Estimator

Nolan Upvc Limited is one of the largest independent manufacturers of windows and door products in Wales. We work for a range of clients across retail, trade & commercial markets. These range from refurbishments to multi-million pound developments. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Estimator / Trainee Estimator to work with our sales department. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the person will assist with pricing refurbishment and new projects, as well as administration duties. We will consider the option of hiring a trainee estimator - applicants will need to be computer literate & confident in working with numbers and calculations. Responsible For: -Developing / Maintaining product, industry and regulatory knowledge. Producing accurate estimates for sales department. Co-ordinating the quotation process liaising with the appropriate departments, external suppliers, contractors & architects to provide quotations in a timely efficient manner. Carrying out general administrative duties, including maintaining spread sheets, scanning paperwork and answering the phone. Person Specification: -A positive "Can-Do" attitude with the willingness to learn. Problem solving ability. Excellent numeracy skills. Good level of spoken & written English. Good ICT skills - proficient in word & excel with an ability to learn and use in house software. Good time management. Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
