Here at N Brown, we are looking to recruit a Technical Disaster Recovery Manager to join our Digital Technology Team. The core focus of the role will be facilitating and supporting the IT Operational Teams and the Business Continuity Functions to ensurereadiness and governance of recoverability processes. This role will involve co-ordinating, testing and ensuring the readiness of plans in collaboration with Service and System owners across the organisation and in the event of an invocation, liaising withthe technical teams and communications across the lifecycle through to the return of normal technical operations. Additionally, ensuring that plans remain current as our strategy evolves.
A key aspect of this role will be the assisting with the provision of regular MI data indicating our current readiness capability, communication of priority risks and challenges together with general adherence to testing schedule to senior management team andbusiness continuity functions.
**Core responsibilities as Technical Disaster Recovery Manager include**:

- Maintenance of the organisational Disaster Recovery plan and representing a point of recoverability engagement for service and system owners.
- Assist in Business Impact Assessments co-ordinated with Business Continuity Function and stakeholders
- Governing the maintenance of runbooks (including change records) and recoverability dashboard
- Test scheduling and coordination activities
- Ensuring integrity of processes and procedures
- Working with stakeholders to manage priorities and risk profiles across systems and services
- Facilitation of Desk based exercises, testing and business continuity exercises
- Management and maintenance of the Risk Register
- During any event, the Disaster Recovery Manager may be involved in Invocation Decision Operations, Invocation Operations, Management Operations and Failback Operations.
- Assist in the planning for failback to normal operations
- Assist in the required stages to successfully failback
- Define and maintain in advance the MTPDs (Maximal Tolerable Periods of Disruption), MTTRs (Mean Times to Resolution) thresholds with service/system owners
- Align and maintain all relevant RTOs and RPOs with service/system owners???????

**What we are looking for in a Technical Disaster Recovery Manager**:

- Understanding of Disaster Recovery principles and efficient implementation
- Organised, analytical and capable of working effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to give general guidance and high-level recommendations around requirements and technology approaches to ensure availability and recoverability
- Working with stakeholders to identify challenges, analyse data, assess solutions and report on current state
- Experience of Disaster Recovery and Business or Service Continuity Management
- Experience of systeM/Failover Desk based exercises
- Understanding of IT architectural approaches to address availability and/or recoverability
- Experience in availability and/or recoverability test management
- BCI qualification(s)
- ISO23001 / ISO27001 implementation experience.
