Elizabeth Stone Gardens is a gardening and landscaping business based in the Western Park area of Leicester which provides high quality garden maintenance, restoration and design services. Our projects range in size from small fencing and paving projects to full garden redesigns with specialist installations.

The company have won Gold medals for ‘Britain in Bloom’ and ‘Best Nature Garden’ awards and Elizabeth is an RHS mentor and assessor, a Forest School leader, and winner of the ‘RHS Green Plan-It Challenge.’

Beyond our landscaping activities we also work collaboratively with councils, charities and schools in a range of areas, such as delivering the Green Social Prescribing programme for Blaby District Council in support of their NHS Social Prescribing work.

We are currently in the process of developing our new 5-acre site which is used to run Forest Schools, community workshops and other social prescribing activities.

The post is for a labourer to join the current Elizabeth Stone Gardens team assisting with all aspects of landscaping and includes holiday pay and pension. Training in all aspects of the role and further personal development are provided.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Digging pits and trenches and back-filling when necessary
- Preparing areas for paving, turfing and fencing
- Performing setup and cleanup tasks
- Providing labour support as needed
- Handling and transporting materials (e.g. fence posts and cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
- Following instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods)
- Cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment

**Person Specification**

**Relevant Skills and Experience**
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
- Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary

**Relevant Qualifications**
- GCSEs or equivalent preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.00 per hour
