Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist an adult male with Physical and Neurological disability living in the Cumbernauld area.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, including attending to personal care. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

- Attending to personal care needs, toileting including bowel movements, shaving, oral hygiene and catheter care)
- Assisting with medication.
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks, clearing up after cooking
- Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair, using manual hoist/tracking hoist and sara stedy.
- Assisting with re-positioning during the day.
- Household shopping and collecting prescriptions.
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.

Favourite activities are watching TV and enjoys food.

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

You must be a non-smoker.

Driver with a Full UK Driving Licence preferred but not essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle - mileage allowance will be paid

Relevant experience is required and guidance/training will be provided.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility):
Recruiting for 1 position.

Casual contract - as and when, approximately 15 hours per month with a degree of flexibility.

Days and Times:
Occasional Wednesdays.

Occasional weekends and evenings may be required - to be discussed at interview.

Hourly Rate:
£13.00 per hour
