Brodsworth Hall survives as a mid-Victorian vision of a comfortable country
house, with many of its original furnishings and the formal gardens laid out
around it. It had fallen into disrepair by 1990 when it was given to English
Heritage. Since then its fragile interiors have been carefully conserved,
while the gardens have been returned to their earlier formality.
Today the site welcomes 100k visitors a year to experience life in a
country house and appreciate the grandeur of Victorian living, as well as
admire the extensive gardens which have been restored to their original
splendour. There is a shop, two food and beverage outlets and the site
host an event programme. You will be responsible for managing the retail
business through a team of visitor assistant staff to deliver c. £150,000 retail
income p.a.

This role is a job share and you will be a part of the site management team reporting to the Cluster Manager.
We expect you to lead your team to deliver an exceptional visitor experience and customer care. To drive a high standard of visual merchandising and champion the recruitment and retention of English Heritage members.

We are looking for experience working in a customer facing role, for example at a visitor attraction, caf or shop, or in customer services.
We would like you to be comfortable using basic technology (such as EPoS systems and tills, touch screen and mobile devices)
