Working alongside qualified midwives you would be expected to assist in providing person-centred holistic care to our women many of whom are well women.
You must demonstrate commitment and a caring and compassionate attitude at all times.
You should possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to use your own initiative.
Working within a team or on your own you should be able to prioritise your workload effectively and be able to work under pressure.
Experience in a care setting would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
We are looking for staff with a strong work ethic and commitment to team work.
All posts are rotational and require day and night working.
The post holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting women babies and families within the initial postnatal period, providing fundamental, high quality care. Trained colleagues will be available for supervision if required. The post holder may work under supervision and take initiative to provide support to their junior colleagues with regards to some aspects of patient care and
patient flow. Other responsibility includes clerical and administrative duties, stock maintenance, maintaining general cleanliness of the ward area and equipment.
Although based predominantly in one area, rotation to other areas will be required to accommodate service needs, as required.

The Family Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care for maternity, sexual health, gynaecology and a range of acute and community children’s services. We deliver over 6,000 babies and carry around 1500 gynaecological procedures each year, making us a specialist provider of health services for women, babies and their families in the North West sector of Manchester and beyond.
