U&P are delighted to be supporting one of their clients recruit for a Fundraising Assistant this is a great opportunity for someone that has a passion for working with closely with a charity that could be close to their heart. You will be reporting intothe Head of Fundraising and Communications on a daily basis.

Job Purpose:
This role is an exciting opportunity which will allow our client to grow and develop their diverse fundraising income streams. You will support the fundraising team to deliver a wide range of fundraising activities including events and campaigns, as wellas helping to maximise their supporter journeys, providing exceptional donor care.

**Principal Responsibilities**
- To develop and lead fundraising activities including events, campaigns, and challenge events to maximise income into the organisation.
- To attend events as required (including some evenings and weekends).
- To work with admin and fundraising colleagues to keep all records up to date on the CRM system (Salesforce) supplying the relevant data that is needed for reporting and evaluation as needed, ensuring compliance procedures are followed.
- To run and analyse weekly financial reports to ensure donations are recorded correctly and the appropriate thank you has been sent.
- To monitor and report on sponsorship collected online and offline (JustGiving, Facebook).
- Regularly review and adapt supporter communications, including thank you letters and ensure these are implemented across the organisation to ensure consistency.
- Support the development of new fundraising products and research new ideas.
- Manage stock control of event promotional items, ensure availability of items required at events, distribute, and collect items for fundraisers.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings.
- Keep up to date with new developments, legal requirements, codes of conduct and best practice within the fundraising sector.

**General Duties**
- Be a respected ambassador of the Trust’s brand, values, mission and aims.
- Work as an effective member of the team and support the goals of the team as a whole.
- Abide by all responsible requirements of the Trust’s Health and Safety policy.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Head of Fundraising and Communications.

**Person Specification**
- Experience in a fundraising capacity
- Strong, demonstrable experience in administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and good working knowledge of using a Fundraising/Access database, preferably Salesforce.
- Experience of creating and sending Mailchimp campaigns.
- Competent in creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Experience of working in a supporter or customer care focused environment including experience of face-to-face contact with customers/supporters.
- Proven track record in administering charity fundraising events preferable.
- Motivated, positive, and proactive
- Demonstrable initiative and determination.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a small team.
- Ability to priorities and organise work.
- Empathy with our clients aims and values, including an understanding of and commitment to equality and diversity.

**Additional information**
