London, United Kingdom The Breakfast Club Full time

**The Breakfast Club is looking for a talented Hospitality Trainer to join our growing team.** **Who we are**: We are a caf. Not a cafe, not a shop, not a branch, not a unit, not a restaurant. Just a caf. There was also a time they called us a hipster hangout but thankfully that was just a passing phase. We don’t profess to being cool, because we’re not. We make comfort food. We make warm fuzzy feeling in the pit of your stomach food. We make ‘is my gran in your kitchen?’ food. We make ‘3 star ethically sourced good for the planet’ food. Everyone is welcome. Me, your mum, my grandad, your uncle Albert, little Jonnie and all our best pals. Everyone is welcome. At one point we tried to save the world with varying degrees of success. But we’ll leave that to Greta as we feel she’s doing a much better job. We’ll stick to being a caf and supporting our local communities. Release your inner cafness. **The role and You**: As **Hospitality **Trainer**, you’ll play a key role in achieving our people development goals by taking what’s great and make it even better. You will spend your time supporting our caf teams: developing our new and existing front of house team members to ensure they have full knowledge of their role. From demonstrating how to delight through our stages of hospitality to embedding your supreme menu knowledge - in short, you will be showing them all you know. Possessing experience in a similar role, you'll bring to life the development journey and deliver amazing training which makes our team members feel valued. It’s about using your outstanding knowledge of our brand to train others in our stories, and role model TBC Mindset and culture. You will play a key role in working cross-functionally with other TBC departments to deliver our development goals. We want you to deliver not only amazing training experiences but also come out of your way to promote Diversity and Inclusion. You have a collaborative and solution orientated approach, having a view that we are all in it together. Being resilient and having a positive mindset is essential **Key responsibilities**: - Drive TBC mindset and stages of hospitality through effective training and development to our teams. - Take the lead in setting up TBC front of house academy: including associated training tools, materials, management of calendar, communication and administration. - Take the lead in designing and delivering TBC Welcome Day. - Take the lead in all aspects of cocktail bar training. - With the Head of L&D and Ops, establish TBC "Army of Top Guns", our caf level trainers - playing a key part in their development as a mentor and role model. - Support the Chef Trainer in the delivery and execution of new menu training. - Alongside the Coffee Trainer, delivery and execution of new products training. - Work with Ops and GMs to coach our teams to improve performance - supporting with identifying opportunities where they can improve operations. - Support Ops and GMs with ad hoc training materials where appropriate. - Support implementation of business improvement processes eg introduction of new apps, equipment, through creating & delivery of associated training - With the Chef Trainer, create a robust TBC New Caf Openings training toolkit which will subsequently be used in future TBC new openings. - Take the lead in coaching and developing our front of house teams in all TBC new openings - particularly on Caf set-up, stages of hospitality, TBC Mindset. - Regularly reviewing all front of house related training materials and tools to ensure fit for purpose. - Work closely with the Coffee Trainer and Bar Trainer to ensure cohesive messaging and mínimal overlap. - Manage & drive the successful completion of all front of house Flow learning paths. - To promote Flow as the ‘go to’ for all things learning, create and maintain workbooks, checklists and tools on Flow to support the development of TBC teams. - Attend regular L&D Meetings as necessary. - Create an effective feedback loop - collaborating with Ops and other key departments to foster problem solving, planning and follow through.
