The company offers an excellent working environment within its modern and well-equipped 130,000sq foot fulfilment centre in Drolysden, Manchester. Due to continuing success and growth, the company has recently completed a major expansion in its operations with a multi-million-pound investment to build a new goods-receiving warehouse at our nearby site in Ashton-Under-Lyne. This 20-meter-high state-of-art site, operates VNA Man-Up equipment providing an additional 11,500 pallets of storage space. An opportunity for a warehouse operative at the site Ashton-Under-Lyne has become available. The role involves unloading containers and loading vehicles by fork-lift trucks. The site operates telescopic-boom equipment and automated pallet-wrapping systems enabling a fast-paced environment to increase operational efficiently and to reduce manual handling. The successful applicant must hold a current counterbalance or flexi fork-lift license and must be able to work at heights whilst operating VNA Man-Up trucks. The successful applicant will have to undertake S-cape training every six month’s which involves abseiling at height from the VNA truck. The company operates Head-set Voice technology to manage and transfer-stock smoothly and effectively between our two sites at Ashton-Under-Lyne and Droylsden. Applicants should have previous experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment that includes handling packaged goods accurately and using the latest materials handling equipment. The company expects flexibility, accuracy, reliability and punctuality from all employees.
