The Electrical Design Engineer job itself where you will provide technical solutions to complex engineering problems whilst executing design tasks in accordance with the specified requirements.

Report directly to the Senior Engineer you will be responsible for producing the electrical engineering deliverables for a project, sub-systems, or work pack. More specifically:

- Ensuring that design practices, guidelines and company processes are followed
- Executing design tasks in accordance with specific briefs
- Interpreting mechanical, hydraulic and control requirements to ensure that the electrical design performs as per specification
- Ensure that the appropriate analysis/calculations have been performed
- Contribute to writing of project technical documentation such as Functional Design Specification and technical specifications
- Interface with other disciplines to ensure that the cross-functional requirements of the project are met
- Accountability for the safety, quality, and fitness for purpose of design work
- Ensuring compliance with design practices, guidelines, standards, and approved processes

**You will have**

To be successful as the Electrical Design Engineer you will be knowledgeable, detail oriented and experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary design environment. Plus a healthy mix of the following:

- Engineering Design and Development experience demonstrated over 2-5 years
- Educated to an Engineering degree level (B Eng or M Eng)
- Member of a recognised engineering body (e.g., IET or IMech) or working towards this
- Flexible and knowledgeable, with the ability to work across multiple disciples and share ideas
- Knowledge and experience in design and manufacture
- Operation of some of onshore and offshore equipment would be highly advantageous
