**About the The Role**
- Performing repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment including variable speed drives, PLCs, touch screen HMIs and power supplies
- Diagnose and repair units down to component level
- Working with and without the aid of schematics
- Soldering and reworking components (SMD and thru-hole)
- Creating and following test procedures
- Using problem solving skills to find a logical approach to testing and fault finding.
- Good IT skills
- Able to demonstrate an analytical approach to fault finding
- Good hand soldering skills, using soldering irons and hot air rework stations
- Experience with fault finding and repairing to component level essential
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role repairing industrial or consumer electronic devices
- Experience using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Qualified to at least ONC level or equivalent in electronics/electrical engineering
