An exciting opportunity has arisen and Essex Partnership University NHS Trust (EPUT) are seeking to recruit to a new Specialist School Nurse & Epilepsy Administration Officer to join an existing team of highly motivated and experienced Specialist School Nurses and support staff working in specialist school settings across South East Essex.
- To provide efficient and effective, professional and confidential administration support to the School Nursing Team.
- The post holder will be expected to ensure all administration functions are carried out to the highest quality standards and within deadlines applicable to that particular area of work.
- The post-holder will provide secretarial and administrative support to the team, maintaining electronic records, in accordance with Trust policy.
- Respond to patients, carers and other professionals in a courteous, professional and effective manner whilst upholding Trust Values:
- Monitor and process electronic and verbal referrals
- Update Electronic Patient Records
- The service will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using Trust and partnerships information systems.
- It will be expected that the post holder will need to provide cover for Paediatric Liaison service Administrator in times of absence such as annual leave, sickness etc., and additionally where the workload of the team requires it.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.
