**Position**: Senior Support Worker

**Salary**:£12.20 per hour

**Location**:Blackpool

Healthcare Partnerships is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a leading care provider. We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers, providing individualised person-centred support to people with learning disabilities living in their own homes.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals with learning disabilities to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life. You will help them participate in the community and develop their abilities as fully as possible.

**Main Responsibilities/Duties**:
Relationship Building: Develop and sustain warm and trusting relationships with service users.

Well-being Promotion: Promote the self-esteem, happiness, and emotional health of service users.

Respect & Dignity: Respect the person’s right to privacy and ensure their dignity is maintained at all times.

Empowerment: Encourage and support service users in expressing their needs, views, and concerns. Enable them to make choices and decisions, and participate as fully as possible in planning and decision-making processes.

Rights & Entitlements: Respect and promote the rights and entitlements of people with learning disabilities, enabling them to participate fully in their communities.

Responsiveness: Be responsive to the individual needs of service users within the framework of their Person Centred Plans and respond flexibly to changing needs.

Independence & Confidence: Enable service users to become as independent as possible and grow in confidence, competence, and personal effectiveness in areas such as:
Social skills/relationships

Personal care & hygiene

Daily living skills

Using community resources and facilities

Social, leisure, and work activities

Self-organisation and coping abilities

As a Senior Support worker, you will also supervise junior staff members

**Requirements**:
Previous experience of working in a Learning Disabilities or Mental Health setting

Previous supervision experience

Compassionate and caring nature

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing needs

Commitment to promoting the rights and independence of individuals with learning disabilities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.00-£12.50 per hour
