We are recruiting an electrically biased Site Supervisor to be based at our customer’s site in Bridgnorth.

This role is within the business area of Industrial Service where you’ll be embedded as a Site Supervisor, providing dedicated support to the maintenance and service of our customer’s cranes.

You’ll work with a team of customer engineers and staff to ensure that all equipment is at 100% availability according to the needs of their business. In addition, you’ll supervise site operatives as well as sub-contractors and you’ll be involved in the customer consultation process, spot audits, quality control and safety, providing technical support and direction.

You will report to the Operations Manager - West Midlands Service Branch

Your main responsibilities will include:

- You’ll supervise all Konecranes activities performed at a specific customer site as and when required.
- Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes.
- Perform safety inspections alongside insurance inspectors.
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
- You’ll raise defects and source parts through Konecranes.
- You’ll consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
- Identify onsite sales lead and equipment improvement opportunities
- You will complete appropriate maintenance records, reports and documentation
- Organisation of Site planned shutdowns - liaising with the customer to maximise planned downtime and optimise uptime
- Be in regular communication with the Branch scheduler and Tech Co-Ordinator to ensure that the allocated contracted hours are in-line with the maintenance agreement, thus maximising the margins

What we are looking for in you:
You must be apprentice-trained or equivalent and fully conversant with electrical engineering disciplines:

- Electrical: 415v ac 3 phase motor contactor control circuits both squirrel cage and wound rotor. A good understanding of 110/48 volt relay and contactor circuits. Some frequency speed control device experience.
- Mechanical: Medium to large drive couplings, brakes and reduction gearboxes. Bearing replacement and drive alignments
- Possess a LEEA qualification or similar
- Experience with overhead cranes and hoists is essential
- Have a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience / understanding of job margins and weekly reporting
- Willingness to work weekends where necessary and be available via phone out of hours
- Good grasp of the English language (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills as there is extensive customer contact
- Proven commitment to safety
- You must be able to climb a ladder and able to work at heights
- Hold a current driving licence
