Our Service Delivery team are currently recruiting for a Planner to join their thriving department. As the Planner for the team, your mission will be to develop and maintain the project master schedule in accordance with the contract, through direct liaison with key internal stakeholders. In addition to this, you’ll also be responsible for ensuring the integrity of data and preparing reports to provide project status information to both the programmes team and customer.
Please note that this role is a; JFF Level 5 - Planning and Project Management.
**_ What you’ll be doing as a Planner;_**
- Develop and maintain the schedule in accordance with the work breakdown structure (WBS), contracted scope, delivery dates, and financial baseline and Leonardo procedures
- Work with the Project teams to ensure timely monthly updates
- Ensure the schedule and SAP data are aligned to identify any data inaccuracies and proactively strive to correct any issues
- Assess progress and analyse the impact of forecast changes (schedule and financial) to identify threats at the earliest opportunity
- Work with the project team to perform critical path and ‘what if’ schedules
- Identify schedule, cost variances, and work with the programme team and directly with business functions to establish corrective actions
- Control the project baseline (schedule and financial) to reflect any contracted amendments Control the allocation of contingency reserve and updates to the schedule baseline ensuring alignment to the risk register
- Produce internal and customer reports to confirm the project cost and schedule variance, future key milestones and to include earn value analysis
- Generate purchase requisitions and perform service receipts to support project requirements
- Provide planning support to the project teams
- Executing all activities in accordance with Leonardo policy, procedure and processes
- Establishing and implementing standards and best practice across Programmes or projects
**_ What we need from you;_**
- Good knowledge of company products and organisation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting and to provide leadership when required
- Effective and persuasive in building a network of contacts internally, creating strong relationships with all internal performing functional areas
- Proficient in the use of SAP and Microsoft Project (as core planning tool) and other common Microsoft packages
- Excellent analytical and planning skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a clear focus on goals & priorities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience in the planning and scheduling of complex tasks within an aerospace or similar industrial environment
