Venn Group is currently working with a global telecommunications company who are currently recruiting for a Senior Programme Manager who will be responsible for planning and managing the implementation of multiple programmes from beginning to end withina complex Business Transformation.
Rate: £650 per day
IR35 Status: Inside
Location: Remote, with occasional travel into the office
Duration: 6 months, initially
Job responsibilities:
- Managing large, complex and strategically important programmes which are often interlinked and impacting on the wider business goals
- Securing and managing large financial budgets in excess of £1m
- Managing senior stakeholders and facilitating effective bridges between multiple parties inside and outside the organisation
- Ensuring PMO leadership is kept apprised of all project/portfolio related issues and driving alignment and decision making within the leadership structure
- Establishing and maintaining KPI's and dashboards supporting ongoing improvement
- Forecasting, managing, and reporting on project budgets to support decision making
- Implementing and maintaining a consistent project management methodology, ensuring project conforms to appropriate framework & governance
- Accountable for managing all aspects of risk, issues and contingency
- Determines, procures and manages appropriate resources internally and externally to deliver the project
- Manages virtual projects teams in a matrix environment
- Demonstrable experience of running end to end complex transformation programmes with successful outcomes
- Experience of ERP or COTS implementation (i.e. salesforce, SAP, Oracle, SaaS)
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience of project planning processes, techniques and methodologies
- Developed and proven stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict management skills
- The ability to understand and manage multiple risks - dealing with uncertainty, whilst being proactive and forward-looking
- Experience of running programmes in multi methodology environments
- In depth knowledge of strategic business objectives, drivers and complex organisational designs
