**Teaching Assistant (known within the Trust as Educational Assistant)**
**Working pattern - 34.5 hours per week worked over 39 weeks per year. Pro-rated holiday entitlement added to salary. Term Time Only.**
**Salary - £15,431.00 with annual increments (pro-rated to working weeks)**
**Location - based within Inscape House School, Cheadle, Stockport**
**Reporting to - Assigned reporting manager**

**Inscape House School is a specialist school for children with communication difficulties, autism spectrum conditions and related problems, currently located on one campus in Cheadle.**
**As part of the Together Trust Education Service staff team, including teachers, college tutors, speech and language therapists, assistants and other professionals, all post holders are expected to participate in the life of the school and support the ethos of the Trust and Inscape House.**
**As an Educational Assistant you will work with teachers and therapists in assisting the delivery of the curriculum and in the care of the pupils. In addition, the post holder will be required to participate in other activities within the school including supervision of play and lunchtimes.**
**A key requirement of the role is to support the delivery of the curriculum for key pupils under the guidance of and in consultation with the class teacher and assume responsibility for a particular part of the work of the class under the guidance of the teacher and in consultation with one of the Deputy Heads.**
**What can you bring to the classroom...?**
**We are seeking an individual with a relevant qualification in education and/or childcare (or commitment to obtain an NVQ Level 3 - Teaching Assistant qualification).**
**An aspect of this role is to always promote a positive image of the school and the Trust and be aware of and follow the relevant policies and procedures.**
**Do you have experience working with children and young people with additional needs such as autistic spectrum conditions or with pupils displaying challenging behaviour?**
**We are looking for someone who can maintain confidentiality and take responsibility for the promotion of safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people for who they are responsible for.**
