**We are hiring a Portfolio Handyman to manage our Group residential investment portfolio and our residential block management division** **"We are a fast growing and successful company, and this role will suit an ambitious and motivated individual looking to progress their career"** **Handyman duties and responsibilities** - Completing plumbing repairs such as fixing dripping taps or running toilet cisterns, swapping baths, showers, toilets etc. - Installing household appliances such as washing machines, ovens, hobs and dishwashers - Installing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms - Carpentry - Fitting shelves, locks, blinds etc - Conducting emergency audits, PAT testing - Completing condition and works paperwork for property monitoring - Arranging the scope of work and timescales with commercial and residential tenants - Tiling and grouting - Indoor and outdoor painting - Organising maintenance and improvement works on business asset portfolio - Repairing and maintaining heating systems, bleeding radiators and flushing systems - Basic Bricklaying and masonry skills - Laying stone patios and decking - General maintenance - Measuring and calculations for cost purposes - Tiling and grouting - Contractor Monitoring - Deliver tasks within deadlines where required - Priorities safe systems at work across all tasks, consistently verifying accordance with health and safety policies and method statements. - Clean, repair and inspected units to prepare for new tenant move-ins. - Your job description involves completing maintenance and repair tasks in various places around Lancashire and West Yorkshire - problem-solving - The ability to work well with others - Being resourceful and self-motivated **Experience and Qualifications** - Previous experience in Property Management and maintenance essential - Any qualifications or accreditations in this field will be an added bonus **Key Skills and requirements** - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Manage their own workload - Full driving license - Pro-active. - Organized. - Trustworthy. - Team orientated. **Hours** - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm / there will be some after hour requirements / The head office is in Rochdale, but the job will be mobile, pending where the works are required **Package** £26 000 to £28 500 depending on experience Excellent further financial and progression opportunity Permanent Van and fuel supplied 30 holidays per annum including bank holidays, to be re-assessed with time served **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,500.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company pension - On-site parking Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - Maintenance: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: On the road
