- **About the role**_

Angels Bakery and Take-aways, a well-known name in African food is looking to recruit new Sales shop assistant/Junior baker. You will be the face of our Angels Bakery brand, serving customers front of house and giving them the very best in food experiences. You will also be working on our shops floor or one of our specialist bakery kitchens carrying out a variety of tasks. Your purpose is to amaze our customers with great customer service, to delight with your epic products and to demonstrate excellence and going the extra mile in all front and back of house operations.
- It is essential you are fully flexible to work varying shifts including weekends._

You must be prepared for heavy lifting, as well as replenishing the shop floor and deal with morning deliveries. Previous experience in a fast-paced food retail or restaurant environment would be highly advantageous.
- **Key responsibilities**_
- Operating the till and serving customers, always working to the highest standard of customer care
- Processing credit card payments accurately on our shops tills (POS)
- Making suggestions, selections, and recommendations of our products to our customers
- Familiarising yourself with product lines throughout our shops
- Dealing swiftly and courteously with all customer queries/complaints
- Assisting in the off-loading of deliveries as required
- Maintain clean all working areas daily and ensuring correct labelling, quality checks, temperatures, restocking and wastage (HACCP)
- Undertaking correct stock rotation and storing surplus stock (FIFO)
- Cleaning of counter area, shop floor and fridge shelving in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain and complete our daily Food Management System (HACCP) as instructed by the stores Managers
