**About The Role**

We are seeking a Temporary Brain Injury Case Support Worker with an understanding of neuro or brain injury knowledge and experience to cover a period of maternity leave. Could lead to a more permanent role in the future.
At Headway you will have the opportunity to work holistically with clients to achieve their best outcomes. Our Case workers have a manageable case load with a focus on person centred work, putting the client at the heart of what we do.
The role is offered on a salary employed basis four days per week Mon - Thursday 9am - 2pm. Working from your home, you would manage a client caseload within your geographical area working your hours flexibly and to meet client needs.
Working remotely for Headway doesn't mean working alone. Our Case Managers are supported by a dedicated Case Manager Mentor who is experienced in case management A period of training will be given. You will receive regular support sessions and the support of an experienced Head Office team.
On joining, you will receive a comprehensive induction and have regular, ongoing training and development opportunities. Your role as a Case Support Worker continues to contribute toward the valuable work that our Case Managers do to support our many clients. You will be assisting people who have been assessed as having lower complex needs, which frees up our Case Managers to focus on our most complex clients. You will be required to assist clients to fill in the PIP Assessment Forms or access the right benefits like Universal Credit, arrange meetings and attend appointments with other health professionals or officers from the DWP.

**About You**
We require health and social care workers who have extensive expertise of working with adults with traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury or stroke related injuries. You may also be someone who has worked as an assessor / care planner or for the benefits agency on the assessment of a client’s needs.
You will have experience of working directly with clients in the community and be able to demonstrate your abilities, ideally within the field of complex long term health care assessment support, care planning and achieving positive outcomes for clients.

**About Us**
Headway North Staffs provide a range of services for vulnerable adults who have suffered life changing injuries through Brain Injury or Stroke. We provide Case Management, Day Services at Headway House in Cobridge - Offering a range of Therapies and Activities to suit all needs including; Gym and Physical Therapies, Speech and Language, Counselling, Cognitive Therapy, Life Skills, IT Skills, Woodwork and Outreach Services for community based support.
When a person’s life has been changed by injury, we address the practicalities. We work with adults who have had moderate or catastrophic, complex brain injuries. We assess individual needs and are able to provide a comprehensive case management service designed to maximise independence and develop the correct level of support for each individual.
