Finance Calculation Specialist

**OVERALL SUMMARY**

Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will be the finance system calculation specialist, working closely with the Commission project team to deliver financial calculation requirements and implementation, along with supporting governance requirements. Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in management of project risks from a financial perspective with excellent technical accounting skills.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the project team on key finance requirements, including: system calculation understanding, scenario based redress calculation requirements and implementation where required, system calculation testing
- Work closely with the legal and compliance teams ensuring calculations are appropriately documented and supported by key stakeholders
- Support review of all system finance calculations
- Work closely with the Financial controller and Head of FP&A to ensure financial reporting and audit requirements are met
- Update Motor leadership team on relevant project matters
- Support with ad-hoc analysis and calculations as and when required and developments are released by the FCA
- Provide support to other team members and wider Bank team, to ensure successful delivery of the project

**WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE**:

- An ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items
- Evidence of taking ownership and ability to prioritise and deal with a wide range of activities at the same time to meet tight deadlines
- System calculation experience eg APR
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to influence others
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; for example looking at large amounts of data to identify trends
- Advanced MS Office packages, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication

**IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE**:

- Motor finance industry background/knowledge
