**Reports to**:Wellbeing & Community Development Manager
**Working hours**: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, evening and weekend work will be required.
**Salary**: £16,000- £19,000 per annum depending on experience
**Job Purpose**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Youth & Children’s Sports Coach to provide a fun and safe sporting experience for young people. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing basic sports strategies, scheduling team practices and games, and quality delivery of activities that ensure all participants get an enjoyable and high-quality experience.
You will have extensive experience of working with young people, knowledge of basic sports strategies, and good communication skills. Epic requires our Sports Coaches to adhere to the high standards that is demonstrated across the team to ensure all young people enjoy and engage in uplifting sporting experiences.
This role also requires supporting the development of young people into the role of learning mentors who then directly support and mentor a cohort of targeted and identified children.
**Level of Contact with Children and Young People**
**Main Responsibilities**:
- To work as part of a project delivery team to create fun, inspiring and meaningful projects to children and young people.
- Ensuring that participants train and perform to a high standard of health and safety at all times
- To develop and lead school, afterschool and community activities.
- Act as a positive role model at all times, assisting in the creation of a constructive and fun environment, encouraging the active participation and motivation of the young people in your care.
- Identifying needs and planning and implementing suitable training programmes.
- Build relationships with local agencies to enable effective delivery of projects.
- Support or contribute to promotional materials to raise awareness of the provision through parent groups, assembly’s, classroom drops, websites, social media, taster sessions etc.
- Ensure that all paperwork is completed for each session in a timely and accurate manner, to the standards required and outlined in the procedures.
- Provide targeted support to identified vulnerable children and young people, enabling them to develop emotional resilience and access local provision, make good choices and identify positive pathways.
- In conjunction with other partners, support future apprentices, young leaders and mentors engaged with Epic, enabling them to enhance their confidence and skills in working with children and to become their role models in the area.
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings, training and performance development sessions, as and when required.
- Collect monies and keep accurate records in accordance with Epics procedures.
- Act as an ambassador for Epic Partners at all times, by actively promoting Epic and our values, aims and services within the local community, especially with regards to equal opportunities and safeguarding children/young people.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by your line manager.

Epic’s Community Coaching roles require the ability and enthusiasm to work with both small and large groups of children. Epic Partners is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and Safeguarding qualification is required for this role.
**Other Organisational Responsibilities**:
