A flexible approach is also essential as there will be a requirement to work at both our North Tees and Hartlepool hospital sites.
To provide a high quality service and support to Theatres in relation to all Inventory Management activities including but not limited to the order, receipt, distribution and management of Loan Kits, implantable devices and clinical and non-clinical consumables. Working under the supervision of the Integrated Inventory Manager to assist in the day to day management and provision of a customer focused supply chain service, ensuring a seamless supply of goods to Theatres aiding in the provision of patient care.

Undertake supply chain activities as directed by duly authorised personnel within Procurement, Supplies and Theatres
Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels for agreed range of managed products within Theatres to include, implants (orthopaedic, breast, testicular, spinal etc.) and clinical and non-clinical consumables
Review prosthesis order sheets from Orthopaedic theatres on a daily basis, and check against pre-determined stock levels prior to re-ordering
Receive, check, receipt, distribute and put away goods for all transactional activity
Ensure safe storage of goods and disposal of packaging, and ensure storerooms are maintained in a tidy, organised and logical format
Perform regular stock rotation and report any waste as per organisational policies and procedures, and highlight to management any stocks nearing end of shelf life
Use the appropriate electronic supply chain systems effectively and manage all associated electronic information appropriately, utilising any available reports to aid in rationalisation of goods in conjunction with customers
Regularly review any outstanding orders and take a proactive approach by contacting the relevant suppliers to understand delays, and source alternative products as and when required, in conjunction with senior Theatre clinicians
Identify opportunities for product standardisation, optimum stock holdings and waste reductions and highlight to the management within Theatres and Procurement & Supplies
