**Victim Navigator - Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) [2 Year FTC]**
Home-based (with travel to HQ in Nottingham and regular travel throughout the UK)
**About Us**

The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) contributes to the fight against modern slavery by identifying and supporting victims of labour exploitation. They work in partnership to protect workers’ rights and prevent labour exploitation by disruptingand deterring criminal activity within the labour market, activities that rely on the organisation’s ability to engage with potential victims and survivors.
We are looking for a Victim Navigator to broker contact with labour exploitation victims with the GLAA on a full-time basis for an initial two year, fixed-term contract.

You’ll be playing a critical role in supporting victims of these horrific practices and enabling the perpetrators to be brought to justice.

**The Role**
As a Victim Navigator, you will support a pilot project to help broker and manage contact with victims of labour exploitation.
Specifically, you will test the feasibility and value of seconding a Victim Navigator into the GLAA.
Acting as a bridge between identified victims of labour exploitation and police efforts to bring exploiters to justice, you will help victims across a number of investigations to navigate services and benefits. You will provide them with individualised advice,enabling them to secure the best post-identification support possible.
Additionally, you will learn and share lessons for government and national police strategies, identifying a successful model that could be promoted and replicated. Assisting in assessing the impact of the pilot, you will inform on the improvement of other local,regional, national and international services.
This role will involve travelling around the UK and working anti-social hours.
**About You**
To be considered as a Victim Navigator, you will need:
- Relevant experience working with vulnerable people
- To have a passion to do whatever you can to combat modern day slavery
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- To have lived in the UK for at least five years
- A degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Project management skills would also be favourable, as would diverse language skills, in addition to English.
Please note, full Security Clearance Vetting will be carried out by GLAA.
