Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting a Group Financial Accountant for a growing FTSE250 business in Crawley. A hybrid setup is offered with three days per week remote working.

You will need to be a fully qualified ACA Accountant from practice looking for a move into industry with IFRS reporting experience within Audit in order to apply.

Working for the Group Financial Reporting Manager within a group finance team, this role will provide support to the Group Financial Controller and CFO. Two key aspects to the role (1) financial accounting, consolidation, reporting and controls, and (2)providing finance support for ad hoc requests and M&A activity.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Group Financial Reporting Manager with review, consolidation of monthly data submissions from business units and monthly close process;
- M&A support and other corporate finance activity;
- Assist in the preparation of internal management reports and analysis;
- Assist with the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts and the Interim Report, providing support with Annual Report production and process;
- Key external audit contact;
- PLC accounts and UK subsidiary statutory accounts preparation;
- Consolidation adjustments and intra group eliminations;
- Provide accounting support to business units;
- Assist with technical accounting updates and new accounting standards (IFRS 2, 9, 15, 16);
- Assume responsibility for Group financial statement reporting areas i.e. SBP, goodwill impairment testing;
- Assist in maintaining the financial control environment;
- Assist with Group Treasury activity and reporting;
- Financial modelling and analysis;
- Specific ad hoc projects as directed;
- Exposure to senior management team and CFO.
