**To provide support to access the community in activities suitable for a 7-year-old child who has a diagnosis of ADHD.
We are currently looking to recruit a Support Worker/enabler to provide support for a 7-year-old. The support is required to enable this child to access the community with meaningful activities and engage with other children of a similar age. This young child enjoys woodland walks, visiting the beach and Air Box bounce. A pushchair and reigns may need to be used on occasions.
**Support is required**:

- **4 hours per week, every Sunday 12 - 4pm x term-time**:

- **4 hours per week Wednesday and Friday 12 - 4pm in all school holidays x 13 weeks**

**MAIN DUTIES**
- Support to access activities in the community and explore groups which can offer a meaningful and enjoyable time or outside adventures.
- To provide personal care as and when required and to assist with changing. You must be able to drive & have own car.

You will be required to provide a business certificate for your insurance.
**Rate of pay** £13.09 per hour. Holidays are 5.6 weeks per year, pro-rata
**Person Specification** Successful applicant must: Have some experience working with children who have disabilities and sensory processing disorder would be an advantage. Have a genuine interest in working with children with complex needs and developmental delay. An understanding of non-verbal children and how to read body language and behaviours. Have a high degree of initiative. Be punctual and reliable as the child cannot be left unsupervised. Be flexible. Respect confidentiality.
**Car driver essential and must have business insurance.**

**An Enhanced DBS Check is required, cost to be met by Northumberland County Council.**
