As a result of our commitment to address this, we are looking for 2 new team members to build relationships with our clients and become trusted experts, jointly solving challenges. Working with a passionate and enthusiastic team, the core aim is to address climate change and deliver sustainability and social value improvements. As a team, you will be working with our clients, we offer thought leadership to senior decision-makers in Jacobs and the MOD. Through this, we have a real ability to influence.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Understanding client and Jacobs’ sustainability requirements, and engaging teams to respond to this together with reporting progress/ outcomes/ metrics.
- Enabling and delivering through others as part of a wider cultural evolution (behavioural change). This will include communications and delivering sustainability training appropriate to Jacobs and client audiences.
- Understanding key blockers and enablers (for example financing, accounting for value or business case processes) and overcoming these challenges to make sustainability ‘business as usual’.
- Working with sales team and those in key client-facing roles to ensure sustainability is embedded at the concept stage of all new projects.
- Influencing business and client sustainability strategy, horizon scanning and identifying risks/ opportunities.
- Gathering and sharing best practice and learning from experience.
- Understanding and promoting the use of Jacobs’ suite of sustainability tools where relevant.

- A passion for sustainability.
- Suitable sustainability qualification and/or experience with knowledge of key sustainability issues.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary engineering or defence teams, from technical to senior levels.
- Proven track record in motivating people to better outcomes and instigating lasting culture change.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, build trust and relationships with clients and colleagues.
