**Job Title: Dry Cleaner Technician**

**Job Overview**:
**Please note: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in both commercial and residential dry cleaning is required. References will be requested.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Inspect garments and têxtiles for stains, damage, or special care instructions before processing.
- Operate commercial dry cleaning and laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pre-treat stains using appropriate solvents and techniques for various fabric types.
- Handle a wide range of items including personal clothing, uniforms, linens, and delicate or specialty fabrics.
- Sort items by color, fabric, and care requirements to prevent damage and ensure optimal results.
- Press, steam, and finish garments to a high standard of presentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate handling of client orders, with special attention to care labels and instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the dry cleaning and laundry areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning agents and supplies; report any equipment or supply issues promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety standards in all aspects of chemical handling and fabric care.
- Collaborate with team members during busy periods or special requests, ensuring smooth operations.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience** in **both commercial and residential dry cleaning** (references required).
- Strong understanding of different fabric types, stain removal techniques, and finishing processes.
- Proficiency in operating dry cleaning machines, steamers, and pressing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and garment presentation.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and manage time efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to different types of work environments and schedules.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, especially when handling customer inquiries or special requests.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a dry cleaning environment.

**Work Schedule**:

- **Flexible shift patterns available**, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
- **Part-time and full-time positions** available depending on your availability and experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £11.73-£12.66 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
