**About the role: Business Teacher**

Activate Learning now have an exiting opportunity for a Business Teacher to join our Academic and Professional Studies faculty at City of Oxford College.

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and passionate individuals with the ability to inspire, so that our Business students have a memorable learning experience.

Our Academic and Professional Studies department has an excellent record of delivering vocational Business courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts withextensive professional experience within the teaching team.

This is a permanent full time role, with the potential to earn up to £35,216 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. Part time/job share will also be considered.

**What do you need to be a successful Business Teacher at Activate Learning?**

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developingyoung people is a requirement.

Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our Business courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we canprovide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
- Level 3 or above qualification in Business or relevant qualification is essential
- Experience of working in any business-related sector is essential
- It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloadsand will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
