**‘New Role’ Chief Operating Officer**

Routescape is a dynamic tailor-made travel company formed in 2018, that prides itself on creating exceptional journeys. Its founder and CEO, Neil Kedward has created this exciting ‘new’ Chief Operating Officer position to continue the rapid growth story and carefully extend our country reach across Europe in the years ahead.

**The responsibilities of this role are as follows**:

- Coordinate all activities of the Company in accordance with the goals and objectives of the business.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and achievable strategic plan within the constraints of the business.
- Efficiently manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the CEO.
- Adopt a clear focus and sophistication in digital marketing and ensure the company adopts current thinking and best practice into its marketing strategy.
- Safeguard and develop the business for the future whilst providing sound financial performance.
- Build upon marketing achievements and continue to develop ways to grow consumer awareness and global reputation of Routescape.
- Build the brand and maintain a high visibility within the travel sector.
- Identify and forge strong strategic partnerships across with service providers and marketing partners.
- Ensure that the Company follow best practice and complies with all current legislation in liaison with regulatory bodies.
- Maintain professional standards of communication with all suppliers and customers.
- Provide highly effective leadership, development, and day to day management of the team.
- Introduce Routescape to travel agents across the globe via PR, social media, promotions, advertising, forums, conferences and seminars.
- Build sales volumes, delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Manage and build database of customers.
- Be highly visible as a key participant at the most strategically important travel industry events.
- Maintain an awareness of competitors and new product developments.
- Significant high level senior management and/or director experience.
- Considerable experience of managing robust operational and financial performance.
- Sophisticated strategic and operational leadership with demonstrable substance to back up your style.
- Skilled communicator, comfortable sitting back and listening as much as inspiring teams with motivational talks.
- Extensive travel knowledge of Great Britain, Ireland and Europe.
- Genuine deep-seated passion for all things related to food and travel.
- Inspirational and empowering style capable of defining and delivering a strategic roadmap.
- Extensive experience of B2B business development, sales, marketing and communications.
- Considerable experience in the tailor-made luxury travel sector with an instinctive understanding of the customer requirement at the highest level.
- Meticulous eye for detail and getting things right first time.
- Hugely personable and professional approach whilst demonstrating a clear empathy for our strong sense of ‘family’.
- Outstanding communication, partnership and alliance building skills will be essential and you will be adept at spotting and maximising opportunities to provide clear direction and effective management to staff.
- Proven record of achievement in gaining the mutual trust and support of multiple stakeholders and business partners.
- Bold, entrepreneurial approach and a passionate commitment to be the principal ambassador for Routescape.
- Excellent experience working within best-in-class travel organisations.
