On behalf of our client based in Ayrshire, Spring Engineering are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to Carry out electrical repair and maintenance on factory equipment and services to maintain efficient operations of the plant.
You will:
*Set up and make electrical adjustments to factory equipment and services, in order to maintain efficient operations.
*Identify and repair electrical faults with factory services and equipment in order to minimise down time.
*Assist when required in maintaining and establishing efficient electrical operations during and after a job change.
*Operate forklift truck in order to move equipment around the plant when required.
*Carry out small installation and modification projects in order to maintain efficient electrical operations of factory equipment and services.
*Communicate with colleagues and supervision in order to maintain efficient operations.
*Maintain efficient operation of factory services and equipment during the night shift when management is absent.
*Act as a member of the fire team to ensure presence of qualified staff on site in the event of a fire.
*Comply with company health and safety procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment.
*Carry out house keeping in order to accordance with company hygiene rules.
You should have the following skills and knowledge:
Awareness of company health and safety policy and procedure.
Awareness of company hygiene rules and procedures.
Good working understanding of electrical and electronic principles

*Measurement
Understanding of technical drawings.
Understanding of control systems and operation of:
*Batch plant
*Furnace & forehearth
*Forming
*Lehr
Understanding of terminology relating to container defects
Understanding of factory service operation.
*Air
*Water
*Vacuum
Understanding of the operation of:
*Inspection and packaging equipment
Understanding of operation of electronic timing and servo systems:
*APILOG
*COMSOC
*MCS
*PIC
Familiarity with specific work areas:
*Furnace
*Batch plant
*Lehr
*Hot and cold end

**Skills**:Analytical skills
Ability to work on factory electrical services and equipment:
*Set up
*Diagnose faults
*Repair
*Dismantle/reassemble
Ability to drive forklift truck
Ability to communicate
