The Role
- The role of the Quality Assurance Manager is to ensure that all products adhere to specifications, to maximise product quality, food safety and profitability
- The Quality Assurance Manager will proactively manage category supplier performance in all areas of quality, food safety and relevant specific project delivery.
- Investigate and resolve food safety or quality issues with Suppliers and Distributors encouraging effective root cause analyses to find lasting solutions.
- Inform Quality Improvement Manger of any immediate risks to food safety which may potentially form the basis of a food safety, legal compliance or quality incident and support with information gathering, investigation and action plan.
- The Quality Assurance Manager will develop and drive performance improvements with suppliers & distributors
- Carry out other projects as directed by the Quality Improvement Manager to support quality, safety and integrity of food.
- Develop long-term partnerships with key suppliers and stakeholders that will deliver sustainable value and improved quality.
- Supporting the category teams to identify and scope out any opportunities to deliver improved value and quality
- Graduate
- Strong track record in technical KPI management and delivery of improved quality and value performance with Suppliers
- Thorough understanding of root cause analyses, quality management systems and food production systems.
- Proven track record of working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to deliver objectives
- Product management experience in a highly networked environment
- Willing and able to travel regularly across Europe
- Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
- An interest in food
- Auditor and HACCP experience
- IT literate
- Strategic/commercial focus; understands business strategies and those of suppliers to ensure robust partnerships
- Organised with the ability to cope with the demands of a changing and fast-paced environment
- Initiative; hands-on approach with the ability to think laterally to resolve issues/problems
