Warehouse Operative

**Job title**: Warehouse Operative **Location**: Redditch **Pay**: £9.50PH **Hours**: 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday **Basis**: Temp - Perm The Warehouse operative's job is to ensure that stock is stored in the right place and the right amount of stock is ready for collection when it is needed. The Warehouse operative will report to the Operations manager who is responsible for the efficient running of the warehouse and oversees the warehouse operatives. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area Completes reports by entering required information Loading goods for dispatch (some jobs may include delivery) Taking delivery of goods and supplies Checking for damaged or missing items Moving stock around by hand or using lifting gear Complete deliveries by driving truck/van. To have the ability to complete the work set with the highest standard possible whilst representing the company at the most professional level Ensuring cost effective delivery of service To be flexible and pragmatic in their approach to the work assigned Adaptive and flexible approach to hours To be able to work as part of a team or as an individual To acquaint themselves with all local Fire ,Health & Safety and security procedures To maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Adhere, at all times, to company policies and procedures Forming / developing good relationships with work colleagues To complete all work assigned in a timely professional manner Driver specific Must comply with drivers' hours regulation when in charge of a vehicle fitted with tachograph. Must carry out daily defect checks on your vehicle and fill in daily defect report. Drivers are responsible for the safe loading of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for ensuring loads match paperwork. Drivers are responsible for collecting Proof Of Delivery from Customer. Drivers must assist in loading and unloading of vehicles. Willing to gain driving accreditations as and when required Skills and Attributes Mature and logic approach to problems Customer facing skills Ability to develop skills/learn on the job Have a "Can Do" attitude Have a flexible approach to working times Must be capable of working on his / her own initiative Must be presentable and professional at all times Must be able to relate and communicate Red42
